About the Team
You will be part of the Cyber Security organization responsible for protecting the company’s information assets and supporting critical security infrastructure. The Security Operations team ensures the stability, performance, and ongoing support of enterprise security tools and services used across the organization.

About the Role
As an Information Security Engineer – Security Operations, you will provide Level 2 operational support for enterprise security tools and platforms. You will play a key role in maintaining, monitoring, and improving the health of security systems while partnering with engineering and IT teams to resolve issues and enhance security posture.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for security tools including Google SecOps, Tanium, CrowdStrike, Ping Identity, and Delinea
- Monitor, triage, and resolve operational issues, escalating complex problems to engineering (L3) as needed
- Perform system maintenance activities including patching, upgrades, and configuration updates
- Support vulnerability scanning processes and track remediation efforts with technology teams
- Assist in troubleshooting system alerts, integration issues, and performance concerns
- Partner with DevOps, IT, and Security Engineering teams to ensure secure configurations and best practices
- Document procedures, configurations, and operational runbooks
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives
Criteria
3+ years of experience in information security, IT operations, or related field
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
Foundational understanding of security principles and practices
Experience supporting security tools such as EDR, IAM, SIEM, or vulnerability management platforms
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
Basic understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
Exposure to tools such as Google SecOps, CrowdStrike, Tanium, Ping, or Delinea preferred
Experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell, or similar) preferred
Familiarity with incident response or security operations workflows preferred
This role requires being onsite in the Rocklin, CA office Monday through Thursday

The expected starting pay range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
